RE-Structured #004 blends elements from two British military kit bags, dating from the 1950’s and 1960’s.
The tote is adorned with beautiful markings including found military stencilling and a hand painted serial number on the bottom. The opening reuses the original drawstring and embroidered eyelet canvas kitbag closure, and it is fully lined with camouflage rip-stop DPM.
In its previous life the canvas has accumulated rust marks and paint splashes, which alongside several darned repairs give a fantastic aged patina. The straps are cut from veg tanned leather and secured with four hand set copper rivets each, both of which will perfectly age down to match the honey tone of the opening.
