Returns Policy

The Darned Fine Workshop is a vertically integrated micro-business offering two types of bespoke product, and one custom service.

This means that we are not a commercial factory - we do not hold stock of any bespoke items, we cut and sew every piece to order on a one-man production line, and provide repairs specific to individual garments on a per-order basis.

Due to the handmade nature of these processes, please ensure that you have read and understood the following terms for each product or service before placing an order:

Store (bespoke products)

When we receive a new order, we cut and sew to the required size from our graded range of patterns. We will be happy to chat through any questions regarding fit or finish before we proceed to making your garment, and will keep you informed once it is complete, has passed our thorough quality control checks, and is ready to be dispatched.

In this manner, every piece we make is bespoke and as such we are unable to offer returns or refunds. In the unlikely event that you receive your garment and discover a fault as a result of manufacture, we will work to repair or replace as soon as possible, and cover all return shipping expenses.

If you need to organise a return for repair, please contact us using the details on this page.

RE-Structured (bespoke products)

Each RE-Structured item is designed and made as an individually numbered piece in an edition of one. The unique nature of their construction and use of deadstock and upcycled materials makes them impossible to recreate. We faithfully document the dimensions, details and finish of each product on the website to ensure that they are accurately as described when you place your order.

In this manner, every RE-Structured piece we make is bespoke and as such we are unable to offer returns or refunds. In the unlikely event that you receive your item and discover a fault as a result of manufacture, we will work to repair or offer a comparative replacement as soon as possible, and cover all return shipping expenses.

If you need to organise a return for repair, please contact us using the details on this page.

Repairs (custom service)

Our denim darning, tailored alteration and general repairs service all place an emphasis on a personalised experience to ensure that we have agreed the best possible treatment for your garment before we proceed to make a repair. The nature and desired finish of these treatments are specific to the condition of the garment and the individual preference of its owner, and we will be happy to chat through any requirements as part of our assessment process.

In this manner, every repair we make is a custom job and as such we are unable to offer refunds. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with a repair, or receive your item and discover a fault with the repair, we will work to agree an approach and remedy as soon as possible, and cover all return shipping expenses.

If you need to organise a return for review, please contact us using the details on this page.
